We are on the lower level of the New Galata Bridge, at the Eminönü end, on the side facing the Bosphorus. The address is Rüstempaşa Mah., Ragıp Gümüşpala Cad., Galata Köprü Altı EB, No: 4/22, 34116 Fatih, Istanbul, a few minutes’ walk from the Eminönü T1 tram stop and ferry pier.

Yıldızlar Restaurant is open every day from 10:00 until 02:00 (2 am). You can come for lunch, dinner or a late rakı table, with a reservation or as a walk-in. Tables with a view fill up quickly in the evenings and at weekends, so we recommend booking ahead.

Our fish display changes with the seasons: sea bass, sea bream, turbot, red mullet, bluefish, bonito, mackerel, common dentex, sole and lobster are among them. You choose your fish from the display and we decide together whether to grill it, poach it, cook it on a clay tile or bake it in salt.

Fish prices depend on the season and on the weight of the fish. When you choose your fish, you can ask your waiter for its weight and price before it is cooked. You can also ask for current prices by phone.

Yes. Alongside a selection of rakı we serve beer, wine and spirits, and you can order rakı by the double or by the bottle, from 20 cl to 100 cl. For a traditional rakı and fish table there is a wide choice of meze (small shared plates): cold meze, seafood meze such as salt-cured lakerda and çiroz, and hot starters such as shrimp in butter.

Yes. Cold meze such as haydari (herbed yogurt), hummus, spicy ezme, smoked aubergine and roasted peppers, plus salads and hot dishes like vegetable casserole, mushroom casserole and grilled vegetables are all meat-free. Please tell us about any allergies before you order.

Our tables face the Bosphorus: Üsküdar and Çamlıca hill across the water, the New Mosque and the Golden Horn beside us, and Karaköy and the Galata Tower on the opposite shore. By day you watch the ferries; in the evening, the lights of the bridge and the old city.

Yes. We host corporate dinners, family gatherings, engagement dinners, birthdays, anniversaries and tour groups for 10 to 200 guests. You can choose à la carte or a set menu, and we plan the menu, seating and running order with you. Just send us the date and number of guests by WhatsApp, phone or email.

Yes. On Thursday 31 December 2026, from 20:00 to 02:00, we host a New Year’s Eve party with a gala menu, unlimited local drinks, a DJ and a fireworks show. The price is €180 per adult (13 and over) and €140 for children aged 6 to 12; children under 6 are free. Places are limited, and a 50% deposit confirms your booking.

Yıldızlar Restaurant was founded in 1980 on the old Galata Bridge, so we have been serving fish on the Galata Bridge for more than 40 years. Since the bridge was rebuilt, we have carried on the same fish, meze and rakı tradition on the lower level of the New Galata Bridge, at the Eminönü end.
